Kirdaar — Privacy Policy

Kirdaar ("we," "our," "the app") provides AI-generated stories, learning games, and a math tutor for children, used by parents on behalf of their kids. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it — especially given the app is used by children under parental supervision.
Who creates an account
Only parents/guardians create and control the account (via email/password or Google Sign-In). Children do not sign up themselves or provide information directly to us — everything about a child (name, birth date, photo) is entered by the parent inside the app.
Information we collect
- Parent account: email address, and if you use Google Sign-In, your name and profile photo as provided by Google.
- Kid profile (entered by the parent): name, date of birth, an optional photo, language preference, and interests — used only to personalize stories and games shown in the app.
- Activity data: time spent in the app, games played, scores, and stories watched, so parents can see a summary of their child's activity in the Parent Zone.
- Video interactions: likes/dislikes and comments a child posts on story videos, so parents can review what their child engaged with and said.
- Push notification token: a device identifier used only to notify you when new stories are published.
- Advertising data: Kirdaar shows ads via Google AdMob. Ad requests are explicitly flagged as child-directed, restricting ads to Google's Families-approved, non-personalized advertising only — no behavioral ad targeting is used for children.
What we don't collect
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or any data from a child's device beyond what's described above. Biometric login (fingerprint/face/PIN) is handled entirely by your device's own operating system — Kirdaar never receives, stores, or transmits any biometric data.
How we use this information
- To operate the app and personalize stories, games, and difficulty to each child.
- To show parents a summary of their child's activity and engagement.
- To send notifications about new content, if enabled.
- To show age-appropriate, non-personalized ads that help fund the app.
Where data is stored
All account and activity data is stored using Google Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by security rules so each family can only see and edit their own data — one family cannot access another's information.
Public comments: comments posted on story videos are visible to other users of the app, similar to a public comment section. We run a basic automated filter to block obviously inappropriate language, but comments are not manually reviewed before posting. Parents can see everything their own child has posted or reacted to in the Parent Zone.
Third-party services we use
- Google Firebase — authentication and data storage.
- Google AdMob — displaying ads, configured for child-directed, non-personalized ads only.
- Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method.
- YouTube — story videos are hosted on YouTube and played within the app.
Children's privacy
Kirdaar is designed for use by children under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without a parent first creating and controlling the account. If you believe a child has provided us information outside of this parent-controlled process, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.
Your rights
As the parent/account owner, you can review, edit, or delete your child's profile and activity data at any time from within the app. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.
